CUEREPUBLIC

Cue Republic / Games

Pool

Seven games, each with its own rules, fouls and table, and a computer player who knows them. Five of them have a spoken tutorial; all seven have their page in the rule book.

The seven games

Choose one to see it on the table, read its rules in full and see what its tutorial teaches.

The same table under all of them

  • Spin that matters. Follow, draw and side all come from where the tip strikes.
  • Jump and swerve. Raise the butt of the cue to lift the cue ball over a blocker, or to bend it round one.
  • Pockets that are not all alike. English 8-ball is played on a small table with small pockets, Chinese 8-ball into tight, rounded jaws.
  • A match as long as you like. A single rack, or a race to 3, 5 or 7, with the break alternating or going to the winner.
